A collection of my music projects

I am a multi-instrumentalist, drums, guitar, bass, and am also a formally-educated audio producer.

This area is a repository of all manner of music projects in which is was substantially involved, including original compositions and performances.

I will also be adding projects in which I engineered or produced.

Musician / Producer Bio:

Matt got his first drumset at the relatively late age of 16, inspired by Neil Peart to pick up the instrument. Before getting the kit, he practiced air-drumming to the best of his ability, actually attempting to correctly replicate drum parts in the air.
He played his first gig at a high school house party with “The Weebs” the same year he got his kit.

Only a couple of years later, he joined his first serious project, “Misfit Toys,” later to become “Deadeye Dick.” He played in the band for about three years before creative differences took Matt on a different path.

Matt played drums in countless bands, covering musical styles including rock, metal, country, pop, contemporary, funk, and more. Matt played guitar and sang backup as the “Layne Staley” in an Alice in Chains tribute. That band later became “Grunge Factory,” a 90’s cover band.

Matt recorded and produced an album for a New Orleans local artist and songwriter, Mark Belloni. Matt played and recorded all instruments excepting cameo appearances from other notable musicians. He played bass guitar during the live album release event.
